Calendar Of Events
January 5/9/11/13th: Students attend course conversations during return periods for teacher recommendations
January 8-12th: Rising Juniors interested in doing the full IB Diploma attend an information session about the requirements during LEARN (by alpha)
January 18th : Course Kick Off- students in grades 9-11 attend five sessions to hear about specific classes they are considering
January 22nd: Course Selection presentations for all current 10th and 11th grade students (Return 1 & 2, respectively)
January 24th: Course Selection presentations for all current 9th grade students (Return 3)
February 8th: Course Selection presentations @ Kilmer Middle School
February 8th: Rising 9th Grade Orientation (for parents, too!) (@ Marshall HS IN PERSON!) Snow date: 2/13
March 6th: ALL COURSE SELECTIONS DUE ; ALL ACADEMY SELECTIONS DUE
Individual Academic Advising Sessions
Counselors will meet with every student individually to review course selections for the 2023-24 school year. These meetings will take place between 1/22-3/6.
9th Grade Academic Advising: through Health & PE9
10th Grade Academic Advising: through Health & PE10
11th Grade Academic Advising: through USVA or HOA classes
**If you are not enrolled in the designated course at Marshall HS this year (ex. you took PE over the summer or are taking your course through the online campus), your counselor will reach out to you to set up an advising appointment
