FCPS Summer Online Campus

Students should speak with their school counselor to ensure a course aligns with their four-year plan/graduation requirements.


FCPS online campus offers limited courses over the summer for new credit. If a student is interested, he/she/they should reach out to their school counselor to plan appropriately. Additional considerations:

Cost:  $375, Reduced lunch- $187.50, free lunch- $37.50


Time: Synchronous lessons will be between 8 am – 2 pm and will last 60-90 minutes daily.

Self Directed Economics & Personal Finance (Summer Session)

Self-Directed Economics and Personal Finance requires students to complete work without direct teacher support. Students will access content for this course through FCPS Schoology. The course features updated curriculum, interactive modules, and exit tickets. Students will read through 14 modules, complete 140 exit tickets, 14 module tests, and a final exam. This is an online course and does not meet face-to-face. Students may only take this course as "Pass/Fail."

Credit Recovery

Credit Recovery is a program designed to help students who have failed a course to earn academic credit over the summer. In past years, specific high schools were designated to offer face to face instruction to our students. Busing was provided. Current information will be provided as we get closer to summer. In the past, Credit Recovery ran from 9-2, Monday through Friday,  from the end of June to the end of July. If you, or your student, are concerned about failing a course, please reach out to your counselor and ask if Credit Recovery is a good option for you / your student. Seats are limited and first come, first serve.

Non-FCPS Summer Learning

Marshall may give permission for a student to take a course NOT offered in FCPS summer school. The course must meet state accreditation requirements to be considered for credit. In order for Marshall to award credit, a student must:

Cost is $119.  Students who want to complete Driver's Ed and have not earned the credit during 10th grade PE can take the class online through this site.
