Field Setup Instructions
1. Open the locked box
The box is black and locked to the fence along the path from the parking lot. Set the combination to 1776, then push the rounded top of the lock into the bottom part. The lock will spring apart. You need to take out:
- 6 cones per field (24 total)
- 2 goals per field (8 total)
- 3 small flat donut cones per field (12 total)
2. Mark off the fields starting at the white star on the map (corner of Field #3)
Starting at the corner of Field #3 ensures that there will be room for all the fields. Each field has six cones: One at each corner, and two in the middle of the long sides. There are about 18-20 strides between cones. Start with one corner, pace off 18 strides, and place a cone. Make sure fields are sized as consistently as possible and are as level as possible. Leave a small median between fields so parents can sit. Put a line of small, flat donut cones across each field between the middle cones (marking midfield).
3. Unfold the goals. Make sure the side with the cleats is toward the ground. The front of the goal should be on a straight line with the cones. Push the cleats into the ground.
