The "Be's" of Our Drill Team
Leader and Participant Expectations
Be On-Time! Attend practices and meetings regularly and contact the leaders if there is an issue.
Be Prepared! Bring the appropriate equipment, be tacked and ready to go when practice starts, and complete the assigned homework.
Be a Participant! Stow your phones during practices and meetings, pay attention and take part in all of the activities willingly.
Be Drama Free! Leave your troubles and stresses at the gate! Our team requires harmony to perform at our best.
Be a Team Player! Know who your teammates are and support each other.
Be Flexible! Do what you are needed to do, ride where you are needed to ride, and consider the opinions of others.
Be Respectful! Do not use foul language, don't bully, and if it's not yours, don't touch it!
Penalties
We want a successful, harmonious team who want to be involved. However, if there are breaches of the expectations, following are the penalties that will be incurred:
1st infraction – verbal warning
2nd infraction – sit out the rest of practice
3rd infraction – sit out the next performance
4th infraction – removal from the team for the remainder of the performing year
Note: Behavior that is intentionally dangerous or inflammatory can result in immediate escalation to 4th infraction penalties.
Penalties may be appealed and will be reviewed by a panel of committee members, including the Rodeo Committee Superintendent, the Fair Secretary, and the Drill Team leaders. Any decision made by the panel are final.
