The Greene County Community Band is creating a scholarship for any current Greene County HS students that are in good standing with the community band. They must regularly attend practices and perform in at least three concerts in the year that they apply. They must also write a 500 word essay on what music means to them and how it has shaped their life. Essays can be submitted by April 15 of the year that the student is applying to the scholarship.
A student does not have to commit to being a music major in college but that will be taken into consideration. Students must have a good standing in their schools academically and in their music program.
