Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the GaugeLens application (the App), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (Terms). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

GaugeLens is a multi-tool sensor application that provides the following features using your device's built-in hardware:

•        GPS Speedometer: measures speed, distance traveled, and displays current location address

•        Compass: displays magnetic heading, altitude, and barometric pressure

•        Elevator Speed Meter: measures vertical speed using the barometric pressure sensor

•        Spirit Level: measures device tilt angles using the accelerometer

The App is intended for general informational, recreational, and utility purposes only.

3. Important Disclaimers - Please Read Carefully

GPS and Speed Accuracy

•        GPS speed and distance measurements depend on satellite signal quality, device hardware, and environmental conditions. Accuracy is not guaranteed.

•        GaugeLens must NOT be used as a substitute for your vehicle's official speedometer for legal compliance or safety-critical decisions.

•        Do not interact with the App while operating a vehicle. Always keep your eyes on the road.

Compass and Altitude Accuracy

•        Compass readings may be affected by magnetic interference from nearby metal objects, electronic devices, or buildings.

•        Altitude readings derived from GPS or barometric pressure are estimates and may not reflect actual elevation.

•        Do not use GaugeLens for navigation in safety-critical situations such as aviation, maritime navigation, or wilderness survival.

Elevator Speed

•        Elevator speed measurements are derived from barometric pressure changes and are approximate estimates only.

•        Results may vary depending on device sensor quality and building air pressure characteristics.

Spirit Level

•        Spirit level accuracy depends on accelerometer calibration. Results may drift over time or vary between devices.

•        Do not use GaugeLens as the sole leveling tool for structural, engineering, or construction work.

General

•        We are not responsible for any fines, penalties, accidents, property damage, or personal injury arising from use of or reliance on GaugeLens data.

•        Always use official, certified instruments for safety-critical, legal, or professional measurements.

4. Permitted Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use GaugeLens for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree NOT to:

•        Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App

•        Use the App while driving or operating machinery in a way that endangers yourself or others

•        Attempt to circumvent subscription or usage limits through technical means

•        Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App commercially

•        Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App

5. Pricing and Payment Options

GaugeLens offers the following access options:

•        Free Plan: ad-supported, full feature access

•        Weekly Premium: $0.49 per week (auto-renewing subscription)

•        Monthly Premium: $1.29 per month (auto-renewing subscription)

•        Lifetime Access: $6.99 one-time payment (permanent, non-renewing)

Subscriptions (Weekly and Monthly)

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel subscriptions at any time via your Google Play account settings. Refunds for partially used subscription periods are not provided except where required by applicable law.

Lifetime Access

The Lifetime Access option is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It grants permanent premium access (no ads, unlimited features) for as long as the App is available and supported. Lifetime Access is tied to your Google Play account and can be restored on any device signed into the same account. We do not guarantee that the App will remain available indefinitely. In the event the App is discontinued, no refund will be issued for the Lifetime Access purchase unless required by applicable law.

6. Advertisements

Free-plan users will see advertisements served by Google AdMob. By using the free version, you consent to the display of these advertisements. Users who purchase any premium plan (weekly, monthly, or lifetime) do not see advertisements.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, and branding in GaugeLens is the intellectual property of the developer. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the App without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or loss of revenue arising from reliance on App data, whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the use of GaugeLens shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $6.99, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to GaugeLens at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by an updated Last updated date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is based, without regard to conflict of law principles.
