Paula Gumpman is a program specialist with the Division for Special Education Services and Supports, she leads the AEM cohort and supports the instructional materials center. She is also the lead with the Georgia Assistive Technology Partnership and supports districts across the state with accessing supports within the AT partnership. She received her EdS. from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee, and her Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
AI Magic for SLPs: Transforming Therapy & Caseload Management - Theater
Session Description:
This presentation will provide attendees with a basic understanding of how to use MagicSchool AI to aid with caseload management and specialized instruction. Some Magic Tools that will be discussed include the social stories generator, YouTube Video Questions, YouTube Video Summarizer, Worksheet Generator, Song Creator, and more. The goal of the presentation is to introduce attendees to MagicSchool AI tools and guide them through the creation of meaningful materials to use with their students immediately. The target audience is speech-language pathologists and special education teachers who desire to learn how to save time while create engaging, relevant, goal-related, and standards-based lessons easily with the support of MagicSchool AI.

Michelle is a speech-language pathologist with 17 years of experience working with students birth-22 years. Michelle's passion is serving students with neurodiverse needs. She holds a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction and maintains ASHA CCC accreditation.
Angie Joines, Ed.D, CCC-SLP
Angie, a speech Program Specialist in Cobb County Schools, is an experienced and passionate speech-language pathologist with 25 years of experience working with students with complex communication needs and AAC in the school setting. She holds a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction and maintains ASHA CCC accreditation.

Mixed Reality Simulation (MRS): A New Approach to Training Teachers - The Clubhouse
Session Description:
With the advancement of technology, mixed reality simulation (MRS) has emerged as a promising tool for new teacher professional learning. This interactive session will provide participants with a look into how Virtual Reality (VR) can be used to train first-year special education teachers (Spitzman et al., 2022). Participants will meet student avatars and see how they can be used to train teachers to conduct IEP meetings and teach lessons.

Kimberly M. Gregory, Ed.S
Kimberly Gregory is a part of the Metro West GLRS Team and serves as one of the GLRS Program Specialists, providing professional development in areas such as behavior management, intellectual disabilities, and improving the performance of struggling learners in social studies and E/LA across metro Atlanta. She graduated from Spelman College with a BA in History and a minor in Secondary Education, and earned advanced degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Cambridge University. Ms. Gregory taught high school in Prince George’s County, MD, and researched obsessive-compulsive and emotional behavior disorders in students at the Kennedy Krieger Institute. She has taught and supported several special education and social studies classrooms, and as a behavior specialist supporting students with mixed abilities. She advises several educational boards, including the Georgia Network for Educational Therapeutic Sites and the High Museum of Art Educational Advisory Board. In 2021, she became a part-time faculty member at Kennesaw State University in the Inclusive Education Department.
