GCHS participated in a state-wide initiative to make post-secondary education more accessible. Over half of the Class of 2024 submitted a college application this week without paying the out-of-pocket cost of application fees!

Novemember 8th is National First-Generation Day. GCHS celebrated the students and staff that are/were the first in their family to attend a college or university! 

Over 50 GCHS Juniors and Seniors traveled to nearby college to tour the campus and learn about the different academic pathways UVA-Wise offers. 

FAFSA may have opened later this year, but GCHS wasn't wasting anytime. 60+ Seniors created their FSA IDs with the help of MECC in order to be prepared to file their FAFSA in 2024.
