MARCH 16TH FREE PROM DRESS GIVEAWAY- Starting at 10 AM. Located at the Cultural Arts Building in Coeburn, VA. SMALL to PLUS SIZE DRESSES available. 

MARCH 14TH SAT- We will be administering the SAT test at GCHS on March 14th. You must sign-up and pay by MARCH 1ST. The cost is $60. Money is due at the time of sign-up.

MARCH 12 FAFSA DRIVE- MECC will be at GCHS MARCH 12th to help students and their families with completing their FAFSA. You will need to have your FSA-ID made 1-3 days in advance. PARENTS must attend in order to COMPLETE and SUBMIT the form. 

IMPORTANT! This is an opportunity for ALL STUDENTS! You do NOT have to be attending MECC next year to take advantage of this service. 

SCHOLARSHIPS- We are posting scholarships frequently on Google Classroom, the college advising Instagram account, and updating them on the "Scholarships" page of this website. Be sure to keep an eye out! 

DEC 31- FAFSA is now open!!! The FAFSA form has "soft launched" with new updates in order to simplify the process. However, this means the website is being constantly monitored and paused in order to resolve issues as they arrive. Some students are able to access and submit the form without issues while others are experiencing long wait-times and are unable to start the form. Within the next few weeks, we expect to see a resolve with these inconsistencies and are planning to host a FAFSA night in early Feburary.
