Joan Arnedo-Moreno, EIMT - Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain
Joan Arnedo-Moreno is a Professor of Computer Studies, Multi-media and Telecommunications, and director of the Master’s Degree in Video Game Design and Programming at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Spain. His research interests include the use of games in spheres outside of entertainment (education, business, health, etc.). He is the creator and coordinator of the Introduction to Gamification through Case Studies MOOC on the MiriadaX platform. Dr. Moreno has served as the co-general chair of the GamiLearn annual scientific conference and the 2019 ACM SIGCHI CHI PLAY conference; in addition, he has been a panel member for the SpinUOC entrepreneurship competition. Dr. Moreno holds a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

Kendra M. L. Cooper is an Independent Scholar whose research interests are in software and systems engineering (requirements engineering and architecture) and engineering education; these topics are explored within the context of game engineering. Current topics include the modelling, analysis, and automated transformation of complex game systems using graph based methods; the ontological foundations of serious educational games are also under investigation. She has co-edited/edited several books: "Computer Games and Software Engineering" (2015), "Software Engineering Perspectives in Computer Game Development" (2021), and "Software Engineering for Games in Serious Contexts" (2023). Dr. Cooper has co-organized/organized ICSE Workshops on Games and Software Engineering (GAS 2012, GAS 2013, GAS 2015, GAS 2016, GAS 2022, GAS 2023, GAS 2024), the CSEE&T Workshop on Essence in Education and Training (2020), ASE Workshop on Automated Software Engineering for Computer Games (ASE4Games 2021), and served as the Track Chair for the Technical Game Development track in the International Conference on the Foundations of Digital Games (FDG 2024). Dr. Cooper received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia, Canada.
Thorsten Händler, Ferdinand Porsche Mobile University of Applied Sciences (FERNFH), Austria
Thorsten Händler heads the research department for digital transformation at the Ferdinand Porsche FERNFH, the Distance Learning University of Applied Sciences, Austria. His research interests cover fields of information systems and software engineering including IT education & training, process and knowledge management, serious games and gamification, human-computer interaction, web development, software modeling, digital technologies (AI, VR) as well as IT-driven business models. Dr. Händler is PC member of several international conferences in the fields of information systems, software engineering and its didactics as well as gamification and serious gaming. In 2020 he has been co-organizer of the CSEE&T workshop on Games for Software Engineering Education and Training (SE-Games). He gained some experience as lecturer in the fields of information systems and software engineering, including courses in media informatics and game development, as well as practical experiences as software developer. Dr. Händler received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), Austria.
Dayi Lin, Centre for Software Excellence, Huawei, Canada
Dayi Lin is a Principal Researcher at the Centre for Software Excellence, Huawei Canada, working on the topic of software engineering for AI and large model applications. Prior to that he was a data scientist at Prodigy Games where he modelled and analyzed player behaviors in educational games. His research interests include game engineering, mining software repositories, and the intersection of software engineering and machine learning. His work has been published at several top-tier software engineering and game venues, such as the IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, the ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology, the Springer Journal of Empirical Software Engineering, and the IEEE Transactions on Games. His work on software engineering and games has also attracted wide media coverage including Kotaku, PC Gamers, Gamasutra, and national newspapers. Dr Lin co-organized the ICSE GAS 2022 and GAS 2023 workshops. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Queen’s University, Canada.
