Career Connection

My ambitions are to be self confident in my own self awareness and having a lot of social skills in speaking and communicating in psychology research methods. First of all, I am currently majoring in Psychology to earn my bachelor degree so that I can work as a school counselor. This degree will let me further my education in my masters program in Psychology and hopefully I can transfer to continue my education in psychology. Furthermore I want to be able to use my two degrees in the future to extend my knowledge and expand my knowledge in the field to work with younger adults with slow learning disabilities in the workforce as my career. For example when I was growing up I always knew I had trouble learning due my slow learning disabilities. Reading and writing were always my issue in getting a fully understanding and having my focus in school for full focus.  I also want to learn how to approach this disability to help others like myself later on while I am working on my psychology degree, but also in psychology research of methods already allows me to learn in class with technical tools for me to learn in a better situation. As a matter of fact I really enjoy using the auto text book such as Soomo textbook and the auto reader while reading. This advanced tool in the auto text book and the class helps my education by learning more vocabulary words and it has this very cool feature that allows me to operate and learn in a better way, which is the annotation note taking while reading the auto textbook. Thirdly, I really hope someday, I can use more program tools like this to help students and younger adults in school and at work in psychology. A lot of special education students with slow learning disabilities struggle on a daily basis because we have a hard time understanding the materials, staying focused on the daily subjects, and we constantly have to have families help us get past our days by reminding us our school agenda and notes what homework should be due on time. Finally, while taking this class I will monitor my life as I go so all my classmates or anybody who has the same struggles as myself can learn as we do it together in Southern New Hampshire University.
