For this project I was tasked with choosing a country or region of the world, collecting data about that place, and using the skills I've learned in this class to present that data in a fun and understandable manner. Initially I thought about choosing Cabo, Mexico as that is one of my favorite vacation spots in the world, but I ended up choosing Croatia as I have always been curious about going there, but did not know much about it. That being said, this project was a great way to "kill two birds with one stone" as I got to learn about a place on my bucket list before booking a trip! I learned that Croatia is a very beautiful and culturally rich country nestled in between the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe. It has a rather enjoyable climate along the coast most of the year, and some very beautiful landscape and architecture.
My partner and I both chose countries in Europe for this project. It was interesting to see the significant differences in cultures despite being relatively close geographically. We communicated mostly through email and Microsoft Teams about the project, and used a shared folder to complete our individual sides of the PowerPoint. Overall it was a fun project, and it was interesting to see how we used what we learned about technology this semester to create a very cool presentation.
