In making my instructional materials (IMs), I created a PowerPoint presentation that matched the topic, which was Elements of a Story. I used fun and colorful designs, like cartoon styles and characters, so that it would be more interesting and connected to the topic. I also searched for information about the lesson, gathered the important details, and put everything together in the presentation to make it easy to understand.
After finishing the PowerPoint, I prepared materials for one of my activities. I printed out pictures of characters from movies or stories, as well as different settings or places. During the activity, the students would pick one picture and describe it. This helped them understand the characters and settings in a story.
For my application part, I looked for short stories that I could give to each group. Their task was to read and analyze the story, then identify the different elements of a story, like the characters, setting, plot, and so on. I chose this activity because it allows the students to apply what they have learned in a more interactive and group-based way.
Overall, I tried to make my IMs fun, creative, and related to the topic so that the students would enjoy the lesson while learning.
