Rubbish collection is usually around 7am on a Tuesday.
Rubbish should be neatly placed across the road at the bottom of the stairs the night before.
Keep rubbish around the units in bins until rubbish day. Otherwise it attracts rodents.
If you were too late, do not leave uncollected rubbish out for the rest of the week as it gets strewn down the road and attracts rodents.
Do not block the stair access and do not block vehicles with bags or bins.
Do not allow rubbish to blow under the stairs or around the buildings.
(Yellow rubbish bags are collected weekly)
Only official Council rubbish bags will be collected.
Buy these rubbish bags at Council service centres, supermarkets and some dairies.
Rubbish wrapped in supermarket shopping bags WILL NOT be collected.
(Recycling bags and bottle bins are collected on alternate weeks - see calendar)
Recycling bags: for paper, cardboard (flattened), plastic, tins and cans
No Polystyrene! No Spray cans! No Garden waste! (put those in yellow bin bags)
Green bottle crates: clean glass only, no lids or screw tops, no broken glass (wrap that in paper and put in yellow bags).
All bags must be tied
Any material not in bags or bins will not be taken away (neatly stacked and flattened cardboard will be allowed)
The council may withdraw rubbish and recycling services to residents who do not comply with the conditions, that means potentially withdrawn to all of us if one of us causes issues.
Be considerate to your neighbours and the environment!
