Participation

At GAPS2, oral presentations can be delivered in two ways.

Regular Talk

You can choose to give your talk either virtually via our streaming platform or in person at one of our hubs. In either case you will be recorded and your presentation will be shared with all participants.  Each talk has a duration of 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A and 5 minutes for speaker transition.

In-person participation. Please prepare your slides using Microsoft PowerPoint, and make sure your slides do not contain copyrighted audio or video material. In case you don't have access to Microsoft PowerPoint and would like to use OpenOffice or LibreOffice please save your presentation as ".ppt" or ".pptx" file and make sure that all your content is displayed correctly. We also request that you send your slides via email to gaps2conference@gmail.com until  September 7th, 2023. Should your slides exceed the maximum file size for an attachment you can also upload the slides to wetransfer.com and send us the download link. This will allow us to use a single computer for each session without the need to change laptops each time. Your talk will be recorded and made available to all GAPS2 participants for a duration of 30 days after the event through a private link on Vimeo.

Remote participation. Record your talk and upload your video directly on VIMEO before September the 1st 2023. Please make sure your presentation does not contain copyrighted audio or video material. Your presentation should be recorded at a minimum quality of 720p with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Your talk will be then broadcasted in one of our sessions and made available to all GAPS2 participants for a duration of 30 days after the event through a private link on Vimeo. Please note that your participation in the Q&A session following your talk is live, so we will be in contact with you via Zoom. Please connect at least 10 minutes before the start of your session and inform the session chair that you are present.

Flash Talk / Virtual Poster

We kindly ask you to record yourself presenting your poster for 6mins max and upload your video directly on VIMEO before September the 1st 2023.  You can share the VIMEO link with us by editing your Oxford Abstracts submission. Please make sure your recording does not contain copyrighted audio or video material. Your recording should be recorded at a minimum quality of 720p with a 16:9 aspect ratio. This recording will be made available to all GAPS2 participants for a duration of 30 days after the event through a private link on Vimeo.

In-person participation. Please come to our hubs with your poster already printed, as we may not have any printer available. You will present your poster in a dedicated session. Please print your poster in landscape format: 48" wide x 36" high (121.92 x 91.44 cm), and please send us a digital copy of your poster via email to gaps2conference@gmail.com by September 7th, 2023. This will allow us to share your poster with all other conference attendees.

All presentations will remain online for some weeks  after the end of the conference. These will be only available to conference delegates and cannot be accessed by the general public. All videos will then be deleted by the conference organizers. Remember that since all rights of your presentations belong to you, you are free to share your presentation with anyone you want after the conference.
