Fun in Learning

As a TAM 212 Teaching Assistant, I have worked with students on a course project aimed at designing a Ping-pong ball launcher. The Project emphasizes applying fundamental concepts of rigid body dynamics learned in this course to experimentally evaluate drag parameters, numerically solve initial-value problems, and physically build a launching device that replicates the analytical model. The freedom students have with this project tends to make the assignment less stressful and more fun while learning the practical applications of classroom theories.
