Your Class Notebook is divided into 6 sections

  • Handouts - resources sent by your teacher for you to reference. This is where I will send you information for our synchronous sessions.

  • Study Notes - keep track of literary terms/devices, big ideas, and practice writing as preparation for the provincial exam or Literacy Assessment

  • Portfolio - One option for where you will present and reflect on your evidence of learning from the course. Worth 20% of your final grade!

  • Scrap - yours to use for whatever - drafts, brainstorming, getting prepped for your portfolio - your choice!

  • Synchronous Sessions - Keep track of assignments, readings, discussion notes, and questions to ask when we meet face to face (synchronously)

  • Quests - a cloud-based option for you to store and work on documents for your individual quests. Group quests will have to be shared in the Collaboration Space.

Your Task:

  • Review the notes and examples above

  • Sign in to MS Office 365 and find your Class Notebook

  • Create a page in the Quests tab called "Class Notebook"

  • Add a note that lets me know you that you understand how the Notebook works, and ask any questions that you have at this time.

  • That's it!

Submission:

When you have completed the entire quest, add a submission in the dropbox linked here. I will be able to access your submissions to the Class Notebook (the teacher gets to see all the student work), so your message telling me it's ready is enough.
