It is important for all Canadians to explore First Peoples' cultures and lived experiences in order to continue the work of Reconciliation.
For this assignment, you will be viewing a 10 minute documentary film, and exploring the symbolism, film-craft, and storytelling of a traditional Haida tale.

- Actively view the film, making note of visual symbolism and exploration of Haida culture.
- Some questions to consider might include:
- How does the film contrast/connect past experiences with current reality for the protagonist?
- What was your immediate reaction? What did you love? What was difficult?
- Why is it important to include many voices in our Canadian literary "canon"? How can you connect this to Reconciliation in Canada?
