Short Story Elements Summary

Are you a literary elements whiz? Have you worked through some of the other quests but need additional review? This is the quest for you!

• Read through the following slideshow, adding to your definitions in the Study Section of Class Notebook.

• Reflect/Respond using your Recipe for Representation. This might include something along the lines of the following:

  • • • Make a quizlet that other students could use to learn/review these terms. Share it in the Collaboration Space.

      • Make an instructional video. Share it in the Collaboration Space.

      • Draw cartoon character personifications of all the literary terms (including elements of the definitions in the creations with explanations) and have them battle to see which is the most powerful. Obviously share that one - it sounds amazing!

      • Make it personal - discuss or reflect which elements have always been easy for you and which are difficult. Think of some memory tips and helpful review strategies you can use to make learning these terms less challenging.
