Importance of Reference

For our first lesson with Kim, we looked at the importance of using references in art and the difference between using a reference to inspire your art and using it to copy and pirate people's art.

The first task of the lesson was to draw an ant once before using a reference and then again after using a reference to show the difference between using one and how it affects the quality of art and the accuracy of the art.
