The tournament uses NFHS rules, with these exceptions:
Grades 5th-8th: 20 minutes, running clock halves. The clock only stops the last 2 minutes of the game (Unless up by 20 or more).
Warm-up and breaks:
Minimum 3‑minute warm‑up; no early starts. The clock begins immediately after the previous game if behind schedule.
2‑minute halftime
Timeouts:
Three per game (carry over into 2nd half), plus one additional per overtime (no carry over).
Fouls:
Player disqualified on 5th personal foul.
Bonus at 7 team fouls (1-and-1 free throws)
Double bonus at 10 team fouls (2 free throws)
Overtime:
Each Overtime is 2 minutes.
After two OTs, sudden death applies. Except in a Championship, which continues with full OTs until a winner is decided.
Pressing rules:
No pressing in the 2nd half if leading by 20+.
Pressing is allowed for all 5th-8th grade teams
Ball sizes:
Boys grades 5th–8th: size 29.5.
Girls grades 7th-8th: size 28.5.
Each team must provide a ball; officials choose which to use.
Uniforms:
Visitors wear dark; Home wears light.
Home team is the first listed team, Visiting team is the second listed team on the schedule
Forfeits:
No-show: If fewer than 5 players 10 minutes after start, it’s a 15–0 forfeit (unless both coaches consent to 4-on-5).
In-game: If officials declare a forfeit, the final score is the score at that time if leading, or 2–0 otherwise.
Game Guarantee:
Each team is guaranteed at least 3 games. 2 pool games and 1 bracket game minimum.
Pool tiebreakers:
Most wins (or winning %), 2. Head-to-head, 3. Point differential (max ±15/game), 4. Points allowed, 5. Points scored, 6. Coin flip.
Scorekeeping:
Officials and scorekeepers manage all official stats and time; once a game is final, the score is final unless the Tournament Director rules otherwise.
Conduct:
The Tournament Director, Coordinators, and Court Supervisors may eject anyone for inappropriate behavior and conduct.
Live streaming and video recordings:
Any livestream or video footage is for entertainment purposes only and may not be used to dispute or review officiating decisions.
