Enrollment

IF YOU MISS YOUR FIRST LAB PERIOD YOU WILL BE DROPPED: Please see your course schedule for your schedule of lab and lecture meetings, failure to attend scheduled lab meetings (even the first week!) or arriving more than 30 minutes late to a laboratory meeting will result in your being dropped from the course and your space given away to another student.

PRE-SEMESTER ENROLLMENT & SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: Please DO NOT email me before the start of the semester to request an add code because of "special circumstances". I have NO CONTROL over the electronic online enrollment system. All I can suggest is that you try and try often to enroll online. The way our electronic enrollment system works is that before the semester starts, when a student drops, the next student to add the class online is given that space. Historically, the best times to try and add a course online are just after payment deadlines when large numbers of students are automatically dropped for lack of payment. Again, please don't email me with "special circumstances". I'd like to help you, but all I can really do is repeat what you've just read here.

ADD POLICY & CRASHERS: IF there are spaces available in a particular lab section, Dr. Hsieh will add students during the lab session from off the waitlist within the first 30 to 45 min of the session. Students who are not present but who are on the waitlist shall not be added and will lose their priority. "Crashers" (students not on the waitlist) may be added if there are additional spaces or those on the waitlist fail to show up. Be on time!! Please note: after the first day only students who are keeping up with the lectures and assignments will be added.

***Fall 2022 Students: Please email me the week before classes begin if you are looking to crash for a Zoom link to our first "live" lecture.

DROP POLICY: If you miss a lab or arrive more than 30 minutes late to lab, you will be dropped. Once dropped you must re-enroll online or crash (see above), you will not be given priority. If you have a legitimate reason for missing lab you MUST contact Dr. Hsieh prior to the lab period to avoid being dropped.
