Expectations

• Have appropriate behavior everywhere/not be obnoxious tourists/ Represent the USA well.
• Be open and sensitive to different cultures.
• Be on-time for scheduled events. Bring a watch and wear it!
• Be attentive to commentary in buses (this is an educational tour!).
• Keep the name/address of each hotel we stay at in your possession AT ALL TIMES!!!
• Treat each other and everyone we meet with respect and kindness.
• When we’re out on a sidewalk “hit the wall” (meaning, don’t stand in a big pack blocking the entire sidewalk, have your back to a wall so people can walk past you and so pick-pockets don’t stand a chance).
• Cuisine. It could be different. We encourage you to be open.

• Stay with chaperone or let them know where you are going and when you will return. Parents: if you are NOT okay with your child going anywhere alone (they'd be at least in a group of TWO), let us know - we will respect your wishes. We anticipate a chaperone being with this group the whole time however there are times when we might give them an hour to shop in a specified area with the chaperones available in the same area.
• Obey the chaperones and ALWAYS let your chaperone know where you are going to be.
• Be inclusive of all participants and open to making new friends.
• “Hit the wall”
• Be in your room for bed-check and STAY until breakfast!
• No whining
• No alcohol or drugs. Period.
• No opposite genders in your bedroom unless you've been given permission from a teacher AND the doors are open AND more than 2 people are in the room.
• Most important: Have FUN!!!!!!!

• Let the chaperones know if you will not be joining us for any scheduled event.
• Check-in with your assigned chaperone at scheduled meeting times.
• You will be responsible for behavior issues with your own child. Please don't ask us to mediate interpersonal issues.
• If you're comfortable taking a small group to something in our free time where there are different interests, let us know. You're not at all obligated to do this.
• ENJOY and have FUN!! We're excited you're joining us!

• Our job is to ensure everyone is having a great time!
• We'll be constantly making sure everyone is accounted for and present
• We'll be on 24 hour duty if something is needed
• We'll be positive, inclusive, and helpful
• Be on-time!
• Keep the energy high
• Be in a good mood
• Participate in all activities
• Be able to help anyone who might not feel well
• Communicate pertinent info to families back home
• We are available to hold money in our room safe to dole out throughout the trip
• Help with bed-check
