Welcome to the Gage Elementary PTA Website!
Gage Elementary School (Lyman Judson Gage Elementary) is located in the San Carlos neighborhood of San Diego. Between our Running Club, STEM Program, Spanish Immersion Program, Garden & Culinary Education Programs, and much more, Gage is a great neighborhood school that welcomes and encourage parent involvement! Gage is part of San Diego Unified School District, specifically the Patrick Henry High School Cluster, and feeds into Pershing Middle School.
Gage Elementary is home to an active Parent Teachers Association (PTA). The school’s PTA helps support the students, teachers, and staff, as well as organize and fund many activities throughout the year. Gage PTA always welcomes parents, guardians, teachers, or other volunteers to lend a helping hand!
What the PTA Supports
Funds raised for the PTA go directly back to school programs including Running Club, buses for field trips, assemblies, campus beautification, Gage Gardens, classroom projects, teacher mini-grants, and more.

Current Gage Volunteer Opportunities!
2023-24 is going to be an awesome year!
There are many volunteer activities available. You can help on campus at events or volunteer after school hours (help plan events, solicit donations, be a classroom communication liaison between the teacher & families, and so much more)! When students run laps before school we need parent help to keep our Gage Running Club going!

$15 single adult membership
$25 two adults (in same household) membership
After paying a portion of dues to the local council, district, state & national PTAs, a significant portion of membership funds are used directly at Gage Elementary School.

Come to Meetings
Parents can be an active part of the Gage PTA in many ways! One is to attend our PTA meetings the 1st Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm. Meetings are generally held on campus in the auditorium and available via Zoom! We invite and encourage anyone to attend! Join PTA to be on the mailing list to receive reminders and Zoom links.

Donate $
At any time, families can donate a tax-deductible $20 to the Gage PTA. We accept cash, checks (payable to: Gage PTA), and online donations. And always feel free to donate more than the suggested $20!
Volunteer Time in Classroom
Ask your child’s teacher if you can help in the classroom. This could include making copies, reading to students or helping lead an art lesson.
Volunteer Time with Events/Activities
As you will see, we have many great events and activities planned for our students to help encourage a positive relationship between them and school. We are always looking for extra help with these events! Additionally, as our student body and parent involvement continues to grow, we are always open to new events, activities, and fundraising ideas.
Support Fundraisers
Please support our fundraisers! You can do so monetarily or by donating your time to help organize and execute these fun, interactive events. Past Fundraisers have included Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough Sales, Walk-Jog-A- Thon, Fiesta Silent Auction event, etc.
Box Tops
Box Tops have gone digital! Shop like you normally do and then upload a copy of your receipt to the Box Tops app. Enter Gage Elementary School, San Diego - as your school to ensure we get the credit.
Donate to Gage PTA
Support Gage PTA with your donation. No amount is too small or too big. $5 or $500, every bit helps bring programs and events to campus.
