Useful Information
The nearest airport is Manchester airport with frequent train, tram and bus service between the airport and the city centre.
There are three train stations: Manchester Piccadilly (central), Manchester Oxford Road and Manchester Victoria, each located in different parts of the city centre.
The University campus is a twenty minute walk from the city centre with frequent bus service between the city centre and the University.

Ibis Manchester Centre, Princess Street
Premier Inn Manchester City Centre, Princess Street

Greenhouse cafe: sandwiches, jacket potatoes.
Pret A Manger: coffee shop, sandwiches, salads. Limited seating.
Bold Street Cafe: good food, somewhat expensive, some seating. Excellent coffee.
Krobar: burgers and “Danish” pub grub. Lots of seating.
Brewdog: Pub food, pricey but they do have lunch deals. Lots of seating.
Sandbar: decent pizzas.
Umami: Japanese, ramen and such.
Zaytoni (take-away): falafel, shawarma.
All lunch places listed above also serve dinner.
City centre (north of campus)
Rudy’s Neapolitan: excellent pizza, multiple locations. Reservations recommended.
Indian Tiffin Room: Indian street food.
Habesha: Ethiopian.
The Little Yang Sing: Chinese, dim sum.
Viet Shack: Vietnamese street food. Walk-ins only.
10 Tib Lane: Bistro with plates of varying prices.
Elnecot: meat dishes are the focus, dishes are designed to be shared.
Curry mile (south of campus)
Ziya: British-Indian food.
MyLahore: similar to Ziya, does not serve alcohol.
Chit’N’Chaat: South Indian street food. Limited seating, no alcohol.
