Great job on winning your district spelling bee! You are invited to attend the Region 3 Spelling Bee, which will take place in person. Please familiarize yourself with the spelling bee rules which can be found on the Region 3 website. Details for the event are as follows:
Date: Saturday, February 28th, 2026
Location: Barrow County School System District Office

9:30-9:45 AM Speller Check-in and Advocate Check in
10:00 AM Oral Spelling Competition Begins
Order for participation will be done prior to the region bee date using a random name generator website. Please limit the persons accompanying the speller to no more than 3 or 4, including your advocate (parent, legal guardian, school representative) so that everyone has a place to sit. Please remember there is no recording or photography during the event. Advocates will sit in a special section. The Bee will last approximately two hours.
The winner and runner-up of the Region 3 Spelling Bee will participate in the State bee on Friday, March 20th, at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Any additional information such as the Champion of Words list can be found on our website. Remember there is not a single "study list" for the region or state bee.
