The workshop will take place at the Warwick Mathematics Institute, University of Warwick. This is in Coventry, UK (not Warwick, despite the name).

How to get to Coventry

By plane:

From Birmingham airport: from the airport, you can either take the bus X1 (schedule: https://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/services-timetables/x1-birmingham-coventry-limited-stop)  just next to entrance of the arrival hall, or take the train. To take the train, first follow the sign to the airlink (a free shuttle from the airport to the Birmingham international train station), then take a train to Coventry train station. Note that the last bus and train will be around 2330.

From London Heathrow Airport: the easiest way is taking the coach run by National Express (https://www.nationalexpress.com/en) for around 2 hours. For the precise boarding point at different terminals, please refer to (https://www.nationalexpress.com/en/airports/heathrow). If you want to travel by train, you need to get to London centre first. As most trains to Coventry depart from London Euston train station, you should try to get to this station: the cheapest way is taking the Piccadilly line, which also runs at night. You can also take the Elizebeth line or Heathrow Express to London, which are faster but more expensive. Details about transportation from London Heathrow airport can be found here: https://www.heathrow.com/transport-and-directions. Then please refer to the train section below.

From London Stansted Airport: similar to Heathrow airport: there is a direct coach run by National Express (https://www.nationalexpress.com/en) whick takes around 3 hours. Alternatively, you can travel by train after getting to London centre. This can be done either by Stansted Express (https://www.stanstedexpress.com/), or by National Express coach. Details about transportation from London Stansted airport can be found here: https://www.stanstedairport.com/getting-to-and-from/. Then please refer to the train section below.

From London Gatwick Airport: Although the National Express coach services (https://www.nationalexpress.com/en), it is not a direct coach, so a change might be needed. To travel by train, you need to get to London centre first. This can be done either by National Express coach, or by train (such as the Gatwick Express (https://www.gatwickairport.com/to-and-from/gatwick-express/)). Details about transportation from London Gatwick airport can be found here: https://www.gatwickairport.com/to-and-from/. Then please refer to the train section below.

From London City Airport: The airport is quite near the city of London, so you may travel directly by London local transportation (for example, tubes) to Euston station, then take the train. Please refer to https://www.nationalexpress.com/en.

By train:

From Europe: Eurostar provides service from Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and some other cities to London directly.

From the UK: people younger than 30 years old can consider buying a railcard (https://www.railcard.co.uk/). This includes ⅓ off most train tickets, ⅓ off London subway off peak fares and more. People who need to travel around London can get an Oyster card and pay with it, or use a contactless bank card. This will be cheaper than buying a single ticket directly for tube transportation. Trains from London to Coventry will depart from London Euston station most of the time. Please note that, while National Rail (https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/) provides trains all over the UK, they are not the only operating company. For this reason, some tickets might be restricted to trains operated by specific companies. Also, different train tickets have different conditions (for example, advance tickets and off-peak tickets). It is strongly advised to check all the information regarding your ticket when planning your journey.

Most local buses are run by National Express West Midlands. One can pay with cash, contactless cards, swift cards and app (https://www.tfwm.org.uk/swift-and-tickets/). Please note that if you want to pay with cash, only the exact amount can be paid and no change is given. A single ticket is £2.20 and a day ticket is £4 right now. From the Coventry train station, there are 2 buses going to the University of Warwick: 11 and 12X. 12X is way faster than 11.
