Covid-19 information

NOTE: The following information is subject to change - we will endeavour to update this as soon as possible if the advice and rules change, but we cannot guarantee this will be done immediately. If you are unsure of anything you should visit the French government website which is linked below.

Face Coverings:

From Monday 16 May, wearing masks on public transport is no longer compulsory. Wearing masks on public transport remains recommended, especially for vulnerable people.

Face masks are still mandatory in all health establishments (hospitals, clinics, etc.)

Some travel operators such as airlines may specify types of masks to be worn on board e.g. surgical masks, and may encourage you to take spares for long journeys. Please check with your travel operator before travelling.

Health Pass:

A health pass is no longer required in France to access most events and places. However it is still needed to access health and medico-social establishments. More information can be found here: https://www.sante.fr/how-to-obtain-a-french-health-pass.

COVID-19 Tests:

International travellers must pay for a supervised PCR or rapid antigen tests if they require a COVID-19 test while visiting France, as must those who are resident in France who aren’t fully vaccinated or who are not required to take a test. The minimum cost of these supervised tests is €44 for PCR tests and €22 for rapid antigen tests. If you have a prescription from a French medical practitioner or are identified as having been in contact with someone who has a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, these tests remain free as long as you present a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or equivalent. The process for accessing these tests in France is via a list of places available from the French government site: https://www.sante.fr/cf/carte-depistage-covid.html
