My research revolves around operator group algebras, providing broadly speaking functional analytic means to study groups, and interactions between operator algebraic properties and group properties. For example, I investigate good (type I) properties of unitary representation theories of groups and related structures. I have written a paper on the type I property for ample groupoids and generalized it to non-Hausdorff and étale groupoids. I am currently investigating questions related to inner amenability for groupoids. At the same time, Ulrik, Sven and I are characterizing which approximate lattices in csc nilpotent Lie groups are classifiable.
