Welcome to my webpage! I am Associate Professor at Catholic University of Milan. I joined the department of Economic Policy in late 2020. Prior to Catholic University I was Post Doc at EPFL. I obtained my PhD in Economics from University of Barcelona in December 2014. My research lies at the intersection of the economics of science and innovation economics. More broadly, I study the economics of knowledge: how knowledge is created, diffuses across individuals and organizations, how it is appropriated, and how these processes shape technological progress and economic growth. My work combines large-scale datasets with causal empirical methods to understand the institutions, incentives, and frictions governing the creation and use of knowledge.
