In Science Research, students engage in a three year journey of investigating a STEM topic of their choice. With the help of a research mentor, students design, plan, and execute research projects that are presented at local, state and even national competitions and symposia. The Science Research program not only allows students to explore their scientific interests but it also teaches life skills such as time management and public speaking. In addition, the University at Albany, under the UHS Science Research program, accredits this course as a college-level experience. As a result, students have the opportunity to earn credit towards their undergraduate degree through the program.
