Some of his Awards include The Joint Services Commendation Medal, The Meritorious Service Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Air Force Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster. Lt Col King served as Operations Officer for Operation Provide Comfort, Zakhoo Iraq. He played a major role in Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He has been an Operational Planner and has participated in numerous Higher Headquarters Operational directed Missions. Lt. Col King retired in the year 2000, from Ft. McPherson after completing a Special Duty assignment as Chief of The Air Force National Security Emergency Preparedness Division. Lt. Col King has been a Senior Aerospace Science Instructor for the past 13 years. He opened the Unit here at Mundy’s Mill High School (GA-20052), in 2005. He is currently the Lead AF ROTC Instructor for All Clayton County Public Schools (AFJROTC Programs) and we are glad to have him as our Senior Aerospace Science Instructor Under his direction The AFJROTC Program bought the FIRST … STATE CHAMPIONSHIP to Mundy’s Mill High School in 2012.
Description: Chief Walker, a 27-year Air Force veteran, has a diverse background in law enforcement. He began his career as a patrolman in Izmir Turkey and later became a supervisor and hostage negotiator at Kelly Air Force Base Texas. After two special duty assignments, he moved to Misawa Japan, and Osan Air Base South Korea, where he joined the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. In the UK, he led a team that organized, trained, and evaluated emergency response packages for the first responder community. In Germany, he served as Superintendent of a selectively manned Tactical Anti-Terrorism Unit at Ramstein Air Base. He then served as the Superintendent of the Air Force Honor Guard’s Ceremonial Flight at Joint Base Bolling, Washington. Upon returning to the law enforcement field in 1999, he participated in policy development that reshaped the Security Forces Career Field into a more agile rapid response force. His active duty career culminated at Altus AFB, OK, where he served as the Mission Support Group Superintendent and oversaw combat readiness and deployment operations for seven squadrons. After retirement from active duty, Chief Walker spent four years as a Special Agent with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as an Antiterrorism Officer. Since 2009, he has spent over a decade educating the nation's next generation of leaders, including the Mundy’s Mill High School Corps of Cadets, which was recognized as one of the most effective student development and leadership programs in the Southeastern United States.
Description: SMSgt Radiance L. Rose is a retired U.S. Air Force combat medic and Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME) professional. Her career includes serving in multiple disciplines in Medical Logistics and she has deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, NEW DAWN, and COMBINED JOINT TASK FORCE HORN of AFRICA. In 2022, SMSgt Rose retired in the role of Superintendent, Enlisted Professional Military Education Distributed Learning Directorate, Thomas N. Barnes Center for Enlisted Education, Maxwell Air Force Base, AL. In this capacity, she oversaw curriculum development, education technology, and technology integration operations supporting the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, 68 Airmen Leadership Schools, 10 Non- Commissioned Officer Academies, and the Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy. The Distributed Learning Directorate is responsible for expanding the leadership capabilities of more than 400,000 total force enlisted U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force professionals. Following her retirement, Sergeant Rose transitioned into entrepreneurship, academia as a college professor, and she took on the role of a corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & Executive Leadership trainer. In 2023, she was appointed as a United Nations Ambassador, New York. She joined the Morrow High School AFJROTC cadre in July 2024.
Description: Started her Aviation career in 2016 as a Flight Attendant at Delta Air Lines. After completing her discovery flight in 2018, she decided to start the Pilot Training journey. She earned her Private Pilot Certification in September of 2019. Then in 2021, earned hee Instrument Pilot Rating and Commercial Pilot Certificate. In 2023, she earned her Initial Certified Flight Instructor certificate and Instrument Flight Instructor certification. She loves aviation and enjoys her students at Morrow High School.
