This was made explicitly for the Cap Ed Movie Trailer Contest (and as a school project, it was made in 2 weeks). The Dialogue is purposefully terrible to really encapsulate the "this is a Hollywood blockbuster made by AI" feel I was going for.

People of Boise High was a project I made for school showing off some students of Boise High whilst also being a parody of interview videos in nature. I gave myself a goal with this project to try and emulate Netflix documentary shows.

Cease and Desist is an experimental music video I made for my friend Jack Zuckerman, a current student at USC majoring in music production.
I mainly just made this to help my friend as well as to try a different style of editing, which is mainly consistent with glitching and grain to try and emulate the edge that is the song “Cease Desist” by Oddsight (Jack’s artist name).

Loose Change was a film made for the Fall 48 film festival.
For this competition, we were given the theme of Action/Adventure, the prompt item of loose change, the character of Rory, a superfan of (insert item), and the line “You would not believe where that smells coming from.”
We decided to make a film pretty much just about the prop item of loose change. We had to make a 3-minute maximum film.
The plot of Loose Change goes Rory, the superfan of foreign change, must go on a dangerous hunt to find whoever stole all of his change.
Won 1st place, Best Sound Design, and Best Cinematography.
Co-Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Actor
Broken Rules was a film made for the R rated horror 48 hour film festival titled H48.
For this competition, we were given the theme of Paranormal, the prompt item of a floppy blue duster, and the line “I like pleasure and pain in equal parts. Most days anyways…”
We decided to make a satire poking fun at the previous year’s entries and classic horror films using an immense amount of swearing and extremely goofy one liners.
The plot of Broken Rules goes 3 teenage partiers end up unleashing a demon after accidentally spilling a glass of water on a haunted deck of cards that had one rule stating: “do not get wet.” The rest of the story follows the 3 teenagers dying unfortunate deaths caused by the demon, ending with a genuinely disturbing death to catch the audience off guard and to show that we actually know how to make horror, not just comedy.
This film won Best Overall Film and Audience Favorite Award, making us the youngest winners of the H48 Competition.

The Forest Called His Name was a fake movie trailer I made for the 12th Annual Cap Ed Movie Trailer Contest. In this competition, you had to create a movie trailer for a fictional film that couldn't go over 2:45 minutes. For this competition, I wanted to depart from my normal, light hearted films and create a cinematic drama. The plot goes that my character, James, is trying to find his friend Rod Daron (The name of my math teacher at the time), who is a missing persons case that could lead James down a dark, mysterious path.
This movie trailer won me 2nd place at the competition.

PONG is a short film I made meant to be a parody of drama movies and anime.
The plot goes: Charly (played by Charlie Johnson) is competing at the State Ping Pong Championships but starts losing immensely due to the tournament taking place on the same day that his professional ping pong playing brother, Finn, died. This short film is about Charly coming to terms with the loss of his brother whilst also trying to win the ping pong state championships.
This short won Best Drama at the Kiwanis Film Festival 2022 as well as has been accepted into the AAHS Film Competition Screening as a Comedy.
Co-Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Actor
The Fabricator was a film I made for the I48 Pro Division, another 48 hour film competition.
I had to make a 6 minute max, comedy film about a “fabricator” that uses the prompt item of a binky and the line “Why don't you think it over?”
For this competition, me and my team thought it would be really funny to overuse the prompt person of “Fabricator,” because none of us knew the true definition of the word.
In the end, we made a film about a hitman, Miles Delaney Jr. who was tasked by Joe Petroleum (The CEO of gas), to hunt down The Fabricator, a man who’s been fabricating gas from thin air, driving the prices of gasoline down. The plot goes from trying to find and kill The Fabricator, to trying to kill Joe Petroleum, as we eventually learn that The Fabricator’s real name is Miles Delaney Senior, aka Miles Delaney Jr’s father.
This film won Best Actor, Best Sound Design, and Best Overall Film in the pro division of I48 2022, making us the youngest pro division winners by under 17 years of age.
Co-Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Actor
The Time Teddy was made to be a part of the Fall 48, College of Idaho film competition. This was another 48 hour film challenge, but national as well as only meant for Highschoolers.
We had to make a 3 minute, Sci-Fi film that had the prop of a Teddy Bear and the line, “They don’t have stairs where he’s from.”
The plot goes that The Protagonist finds a usb stick in a teddy bear that came from the future. This USB stick plays a pre-recorded video asking The Protagonist to flip a random nail over by the capitol building or else Victor Ramarez, a man who has antibodies to a world ending plague, will get killed early, solidifying the end of the world.
We won Best Overall Film and Best Sci-Fi in this competition.
Co-Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Actor
I made Back to Boise with my friend Charlie Johnson when I was 16 for a local film competition titled I48-Novice.
In this film competition, we were given 48 hours to create a short 6 minute road movie that had the prop item of a fan and the line “I’ve been asking myself, why are we here?” This was the first time that I entered into a film competition as well as competed in a “48 hour challenge.” The plot of Back to Boise goes: two friends, Jackson Kiehlbauch and Avery Law, need to travel with a crazy, old driver (played by my father Laird Erman) after their car breaks down while camping.
This film won Best Cinematography and Best Film for the novice division of the competition, making Charlie and I the youngest winners of the I48 novice competition.
