Join us for a special Carnival-themed service. Exploring the UU value of transformation, we invite you (yes, you!) to come up and share for two minutes about an experience you've had during a past Carnival season. Some prompts to consider as you think about what to share are: Have you experienced a moment during Mardi Gras that prompted a shift in your perspective (from changing parade routes to meeting a stranger who changed your life)? Tell us about a physical transformation! Did you make or see a costume that defied the laws of physics? We want to hear all about it.

This service explores the Jewish idea of the Lamed Vov (the 36 righteous unknown people in every generation who stand as the bulwark against the rising waters of evil in the world), why the pain of history matters, how each of us makes a difference, and why love in the face of catastrophe is the way we build the future.
