Claire Gao is a junior at Livingston High School who’s passionate about public speaking, STEM, and mentoring younger students. She’s taught speech and debate for four years, co-founded a youth debate academy, and led multiple summer camps across grades 3–9. At school, she’s the Head of Code for her robotics team, Co-Captain and Head of Build for the rocketry club, and serves as student council president at her Chinese school.
Alan Li is a rising sophomore at Livingston High School who enjoys problem-solving and data analysis. He’s participated in math and economics competitions and helps manage logistics and planning for several student organizations. His financial role at Future Path supports camp operations behind the scenes.
Yug Shah is a sophomore at Livingston High School with a passion for mechanical engineering and applied physics. He founded and runs his own music tutoring organization with a goal of raising money to incorporate musical education to students with special needs and learning disabilities. Additionally, he is captain of Livingston’s FIRE Robotics team, working as the strategy and non-technical lead for the team.
Jack Klein is a rising junior at Livingston High School with experience leading student-run organizations and mentoring younger students. He’s previously worked at academic summer programs and brings a structured, hands-on approach to the classroom. At school, he’s involved in debate, Model UN, and peer leadership.
Anna Zhu is a junior at Livingston High School with a strong enthusiasm for STEM related topics. At school, she is an active member of the Science Olympiad team and has competed at the state level. She is also on the executive board of Key Club, Livingston High School’s largest club, where she helps organize various service projects. Outside of school, she tutors students in English and math on a weekly basis.
Olivia Mei is a sophomore at Livingston High School who spends her time debating about real-world issues, sharing her passion for public speaking by teaching younger students debate at her local Chinese school. Olivia also loves music, performing in regular piano concerts and serving as section leader in her marching band. At school, she's the Vice President of My Circle of Friends and Head of Public Relations for Livingston Locals.
Crystal Zeng is a current senior at Livingston High School. As a board member of multiple service organizations, including the LHS Key Club, and the founder of Forma, a nonprofit dedicated to introducing children to 3D printing and CAD, Crystal has developed extensive experience in leadership, project management, and community engagement. Her background as captain of the Emerald Knights Robotics Team and acceptance into Columbia University SHAPE and the MIT Beaver Works programs further reflect her commitment to innovation and technical excellence.
Patrick Gao is a student entering 8th grade at Heritage Middle School with a strong interest in math and computer science. He has participated in several academic competitions and earned a gold medal in the American Computer Science League. He also placed first in the New Jersey Math League, showing his strength and dedication in these subjects.
Emily Park is a junior at Livingston High School with a passion for healthcare and music. In addition to being a social media manager, she operates her own piano school business where she takes on multiple students aged 3-12 weekly, travels internationally to go on medical missions, and serves as a weekly youth leader for her church. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys competing at piano concerts and performing at festivals in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
Jaden Nzekwu is a Junior at Livingston High School who’s passionate about mental health, music and theater, and mentoring younger students. On top of being Social Media Manager, Jaden has performed in five theater productions, participated in multiple select choral groups, and continuously studied psychology and neuroscience and their importance to society. He's worked as Secretary of the high school's Black Student Union, competed and placed in Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competitions, and has recently joined the Chinese Honor Society. When not engaging in academic activities, Jaden spends his time volunteering, going out with friends, or relaxing at home with family.
Zachary Lee is a sophomore at Livingston high school who is very passionate about science and music. He teaches music to young kids in his own student ran organization. Zac has also made multiple top bands, playing the drums, such as the area band and the Livingston Wind symphony. In addition, Zac also swims for the Livingston High school swim team and West Essex Ymca team. In school, Zac made the NJSL school team for AP Bio and is a member of the math national honors society.
Jophy Dong is a junior at Livingston High School with a passion for the sciences, especially food science and biology! Jophy often spends his time tutoring younger children sciences and doing extensive research on niche topics. Besides science, he enjoys tutoring english and math for the young.
Allison Pan is a junior at Livingston High School who is passionate about finance and tutoring younger students. She is the president and founder of a marketing nonprofit for local businesses, and she is the vice president of her school’s investing club and treasurer of key club. Additionally, she has extensive experience tutoring math to elementary and middle school students. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano and competing in music competitions.
Aobin Wang is a freshman at The Pingry School who has long been interested in historical interactions and the decisions that people make. He has taken part in many NAQT quiz bowl tournaments and International Academic History Competitions, and is ready to implement many innovative ideas as an event manager. He is very active in Pingry's national-level Varsity Squash program and also co-captains their fledling Quiz Bowl club.
George Yang is a freshman at Newark Academy who loves math, physics, and music. He has performed at prestigious music camps including the Kinhaven School of Music and the Heifetz International Institute of Music. George can often be found performing at various music venues, as well as encouraging the love of music for younger students at music camps. He is also a strong fencer at his school and club, and often participates at Model UN conferences. George is very excited to bring his skills to light working with peers and students as event manager.
Jon Chin is a junior at Livingston Highschool. He has a passion for history and was invited to interview Florida State University oral history professor Dr. Kurt Piehler about Dr. Piehler's work concerning WWII veterans. Jon is also a member of Livingston Highschool's history bowl and quizbowl teams, the later of which won the 2025 HSCNT nationals tournament. Jon also has a passion for teaching and the martial arts, particularly: taekwondo. Jon has earned a third degree black belt in taekwondo and taught taekwondo to students at Oliver Street School in Newark as part of Team Raposa's summer school program.
Carolin Qiao is an 8th grader at Heritage Middle School who loves staying active and trying new challenges. She is especially passionate about fencing and figure skating, and enjoys helping coach younger skaters by sharing tips, encouragement, and her love for the sport. Outside of athletics, Carolin likes to draw and be creative, and she enjoys helping others and being a supportive teammate and friend.
Anna Shuvalova is a junior at Livingston High School with a passion for science, math and filmmaking. In addition to being the head of build for science Olympiad competing for the school, she teaches ESL classes and is involved with her Town's television committee. In her free time she plays volleyball and direct studio shows for her school and volunteers for her town
Vincent Ye is a freshman at Livingston High School who is interested in many subjects such as STEM, robotics, and debate. Vincent actively works to spotlight critical issues by engaging in service, organizing and leading initiatives, and pursuing research. He frequently communicates these ideas through public speaking and extensive involvement in debate competitions, where he has consistently achieved strong results both individually and as part of a team.
Jessica Liu is an eighth-grade student at Heritage Middle School with a strong academic record. She is highly motivated in science and mathematics, having participated in MathCounts and Science Olympiad for over two years, and she currently serves as a Science Olympiad co-captain. Jessica demonstrates excellent public speaking and communication skills, earning individual medals at FBLA and being selected to represent Heritage Middle School at Model United Nations. She also has a strong interest in coding, contributing to her team’s first-place finish in ACSL. In addition to her academic pursuits, Jessica is a member of the school tennis team and plays the violin in the chamber orchestra.
Xiaoyao Li is a student attending 8th grade as his second year at Heritage Middle School. He has a deep passion for programming(especially C++), piano, math, and chess, the last of which he's already won numerous individual and team awards despite having played for less than a year. Recently, he placed 26th at the 2025 National K-12 Grade Chess Championships and is looking forward to place higher in the following years. In the warm seasons, he also enjoys gardening as a hobby.
Vivian Zheng is a sophomore at LHS with a passion for psychology and artistic endeavors. She leads a volunteer organization geared towards service for the autism community consisting of several branches that reside across Essex Country, serving as co-founder for the Livingston chapter & club. She is involved in track, color guard, writing competitions, and art, and she spends her weekends working with children.
Arihaan Anand is a sophomore at Livingston High School with a strong passion for programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence. He has taught programming and game development principles to younger students and serves as a mentor for a First Lego League robotics team. Arihaan is currently writing a research paper on Large Language Models. In addition to his technical pursuits, he has volunteered extensively at children’s summer camps and has served as the Vice President and Slating Chair of the Young Men’s Service League, receiving an Outstanding Service Award.
Mia Huang is an 8th grade student at Heritage Middle School with academic and extracurricular interests in bio medical sciences, gymnastics, and music. She serves as a social media manager and is a level 10 pianist who’s won several regional competitions. In addition to piano, Mia is also passionate about violin and has made multiple selected ensembles. Outside of music, she’s earned numerous state and regional titles for gymnastics such as the 2023/2024 NJ USAIGC state championships and 2025 XCEL Gold state and regional championships.
