Barriers faced by people who find themselves struggling to transition from a life of incarceration to one of healthy and productive freedom. Our goal is to support successful reintegration into Native American reservation and urban communities to reduce recidivism.
We work with Arizona AHCCCS members
The mission is to advance multi-dimensional solutions to the effects of incarceration:
We provide job search training, assistance and supports for formerly incarcerated persons for successful community reentry, family reunification, and individual healing.
We empower, organize and mobilize formerly incarcerated people as advocates for social change and personal transformation.
We envision a world where every person can make decisions for his/her own life, is accountable for those decisions, and is valued as a contributing member of the community.
We may be able to connect persons to local agencies whom provide pro bono services to assist thousands seeking relief from the burden of criminal histories. Those services have opened doors to job opportunities by expunging criminal records and offering access to occupational licenses. As a result of our leadership-building activities, hundreds more have been educated and empowered to advocate around issues that directly affect their lives.
The goal of a Community Couch is to interrupt that cycle of addiction, homelessness and arrest, giving the most desperate of defendants an opportunity to regain their self-esteem and to live productive lives.
Helping families in Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties.
The Adult ReEntry Program provides support and services to adults to successfully transitioning back into the community after incarceration to help reduce recidivism.
