UNIST Holds Semiconductor Convergence Major Briefing Session with 100 Students in Attendance
On November 19, UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) successfully held a briefing session for the newly established Semiconductor Convergence Major, drawing the participation of over 100 students. The session targeted 2nd to 4th-year students from departments such as Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and Electrical Engineering.
The event introduced the vision and curriculum of the Semiconductor Convergence Major, along with the various benefits available to students, including scholarships, opportunities to attend international conferences, and specialized programs to foster global competitiveness. Highlights included the introduction of newly designed courses tailored to the major, scholarships of up to 5 million KRW, and programs to support employment and entrepreneurship.
Professor Junghwan Kim, the deputy head of the program, commented, "This session demonstrated the strong interest and enthusiasm of our students toward the semiconductor field. We are committed to providing unwavering support to nurture core talent for the industry."
This briefing session served as an excellent opportunity for UNIST students to explore global semiconductor trends and opportunities while marking the successful launch of the Semiconductor Convergence Major.
