Undocumented individuals are subjected to various terms that are ascribed. What are the consequences of these identities? And without these identifications, what can undocumented individuals identify as? In this session, we deconstruct the identity politics behind the undocumented label and approach construction towards a positive self-identification.
For many of us, the citizenship process is a long-way ahead. But what exactly does it look like through naturalization? Could a person start engaging with the different requirements of this process? Could the naturalization process be changed to suit the present cultures in the United States? In this presentation we observe these questions and attempt to explore the meaning behind naturalization.
