KL Moore, MBA, MoreThanACollegeDegree.com helps students, new hires, and emerging leaders accelerate further faster! As a former electrical engineer in the manufacturing and agricultural biotech industry, KL was taught to “go to school, get a good job, and work real hard”. Life’s experiences taught her otherwise. Although working smart and going above and beyond were essential for success, there were other “people skills” she had regrettably overlooked. True career success, she discovered, encompassed skills like networking, managing your professional brand, and dealing with conflict. All of which are topics typically not taught in school or found in a college textbook.
KL founded her business, MoreThanACollegeDegree.com, to prepare recent graduates for the unexpected pitfalls they face early in their career. She has fused her industry work experience and classroom teaching experience to create programs that resonate with students from all walks of life. Now, as an executive coach and speaker, her programs are packed with success tips on all the things students need to know, but no one ever tells them! From assertiveness to body language and executive presence, this third generation educator is excellent at teaching the nuts and bolts of communicating with impact so that ANY student can transition from campus to career with ease!
