We are a family of 5 way out on the eastern end of Long Island and have three hockey obsessed boys. Carter (2017), Harrison (2019), and Zachary (2021).  

Carter plays for LI Whalers Mite Major Blue and Harrison plays for LI Whalers Mite Development. Both boys also play roller hockey and play for the Snipers (NY) and Wish.Snipe.CELLY! (TN).  

Zach is a professional rink rat and itching to get on the ice/rink.  My husband is a police officer who grew up playing occasional hockey and recently started a First Responders hockey league for Police, EMS, and fire in our area.  

My boys are homeschooled which means they’re lucky to get the rink to themselves when their peers are in school (deciding to homeschool had nothing to do with hockey but has worked out well for us considering the one way drive to our home rink is 1.5 hours).  Our favorite thing about hockey is the network of friends we have made all across the country from traveling for tournaments, etc.
