About NYC

7th National Youth Convention is a two-day event, will be held as Hybrid (Offline & Online) mode at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during March 24-25, 2022. This convention revolves around the theme “Food Security to Nutritional Security: Youth Perspective’’ plans to bring youth in the forefront, scientists, academicians, farmers, industry representatives, planners and law makers together for generating and sharing ideas. Two-day conference consists of a plenary session, concurrent thematic sessions, Poster and oral presentation sessions and a valedictory session.

AIASA is an organization represented by professionals of present-day and former students of Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Dairy, Horticulture, Fisheries, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, ABM and other allied sectors. Registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and formally launched on 10th May 2011. Established with a mission of strengthening the voice of passionate agro professionals, veterinarian, at State, National, and International level. AIASA envisages a common platform for agriculturists /technocrats and bureaucrats to work towards the development of agriculture. About TNAU

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is a century old premier institute providing higher education in Agriculture. TNAU had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India as early as 1868 which was later relocated at Coimbatore during 1906. Till 1946, the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore was the only institute for agricultural education for the whole of South India. In 1958, it was recognized as a Postgraduate Centre for offering Masters and Doctoral degrees. It is a non-profit public higher education institution. TNAU has the pride of being the first State Agricultural University (SAU) to be accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Recognizing the merits, the ICAR awarded the three national awards viz., second position in Green and Clean Campus Award, PG Scholarship Award for Horticulture and Forestry and PG Scholarship Award in Engineering and Technology.
