Advancement
Earning rank, or advancement in Krav Maga is an option for its practitioners. Although not required, it is an excellent way to set personal goals and work towards acquiring them. Everyone advances at their own pace, but students who train on a regular basis (at least 2x per week) can expect to be ready to advance at the following rate (longer if only training 1x week):
LEVEL 1 (YELLOW) 8-12 months
LEVEL 2 (ORANGE) 8-12 months
LEVEL 3 (GREEN) 12-18 months
LEVEL 4 (BLUE) 12-18 months
LEVEL 5 (BROWN) 12-18 months
LEVEL 6 (BLACK) Ongoing
This schedule is approximate and is based on student ability, prior skills, and time invested in training. Every student learns and acquires physical skill at a different pace. Advancement in Krav Maga is a personal journey not a competition with others.
