Perspective

Through his experiences, Dex has become unsympathetic to fear and death - it is all a cycle: life, death, back to life, undeath - just as water may become ice or steam - these are simply transitions. Stop all your whining!

Ideals

We are all freaks, we all live and die. Nobody should be judged unfairly or looked down upon for being different.

Temptation

Something in Dex's Fey blood makes him easily lured and distracted by (even gain his friendship through) spring water, honey, fresh cream, and candy.

He... speaks... very... slowly... to... idiots. (Being an idiot is different than being odd - per ideals).
