While we strive for 100% proficiency (demonstrating mastery of academic standards), at least 40% of our scholars will demonstrate proficiency in all courses.
About the Academy
Stuart Academy is named for Jesse Stuart -- an American author that is from Kentucky. Stuart Academy provides a rigorous curriculum that meets the standards by empowering scholars to achieve the greatness they have within them and to be 21st century leaders. Stuart Academy strives to ensure that all scholars are transition ready for high school. All scholars use technology on a regular basis due to our 1:1 environment.

Campus Overview
Academic confidence must be instilled into the youth of today. Due to various environmental and socio-emotional factors, 70% of scholars typically arrive our campus performing below grade level; therefore, we are a Comprehensive School Improvement (CSI) school with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE). The goal of our campus to empower our scholars and to provide supports and resources that will actively engage them in the classroom so that when they leave our campus they are performing at or above grade level. We want to empower our scholars to help them as they assume responsibility for their future. This is a campus where we are creating an environment conducive to academic and socio-emotional growth - an atmosphere that encourages our scholars to explore, develop and deepen their belief in self.
