Training Programs
The puppy stage has difficult aspects. Puppies require dedicated training time towards commands, manners, and most importantly- potty training!
At FPG we offer extended training programs for our puppies. After they are 8 weeks old, you have the option of bringing them home, or enrolling them in our training program! During this time, your puppy will work on many training points while continuing to be apart of our family and lifestyle. You are welcome to visit them during this time, and we will use your puppy's name in all training.
We have two programs to make the transition of a puppy into your life a little easier:

Puppy Bachelor's Degree
Until 10 weeks of age
$600
Your puppy will stay an additional 2 weeks and learn all about life without littermates! This includes a well-rounded introduction of obedience, manners, potty training, and socialization.
Commands:
Treat rewards offered for learning a new command, teaching a soft mouth
"sit" - obey verbal and hand command
"down" - obey verbal and hand cue
Introduction to the goal of "wait" - obey verbal and hand cue with minimal distractions. Wait for food dish to be placed on floor.
Crate Training:
We begin crate training and work towards 2-3 hours crated in the day, and 6-8 sleeping through the night with little to no accidents and minimal barking. Puppies will need adjustment time in their new home and continued training in this area to be fully crate trained.
Puppies will be introduced to potty training by being taken out to grass multiple times a day.
Socialization:
Continuation of our Puppy Culture until 10 weeks old. We continue to introduce men, women, and children of all ages.
Introduction of baths, grooming, and nail clipping
Regularly riding in a car, taking walks, and everyday activities
Vacuums, TV, washer, and other household experiences.
Puppy Manners
An introduction to basic manners including working on no nipping, jumping.
A comfortable presence of leash and collar pressure
Introduction to the leash manner of "sit" when the handler stops.
Your puppy will come home introduced to good manners and socialization.
Puppy Master's Degree
Until 12 weeks of age

Your puppy will stay an additional 4 weeks and learn consistent training and obedience habits. Your puppy will work on sleeping through the night and potty training. Your puppy will continue to learn everything mentioned in the Bachelors program including:
Commands:
Longer duration span and quicker production of cues covered in the Puppy Bachelor's program.
Transition treat rewards to praise with occasional treats. This teaches good behaviors don't always mean treats.
Crate and Potty Training:
In the Master's program, your puppy will get an advanced training of:
Crate training and pottying outside
Sleep train including structured naps during the day
Puppies will need adjustment in their new home and continued training in this area to create good habits.
Leash Training
Your puppy will learn to walk on a leash during daily walks.
We will work on no leash biting and continue introducing "sit" when we stop.
Socialization:
Continued introduction to baths, cars, activities, people of various ages, and household appliances.
Puppy Manners
Your puppy will work on allowing a handler and children to pet and socialize without jumping, barking or nipping.
These puppies will come home well-socialized with a solid introduction to obedience training and manners. This puppy will be ready for your love and continued training.
Prices include age appropriate vaccines, deworming, supplies, and food. Due to the time we dedicate to puppies in our training program, space is limited to 2 puppies in each litter.
Please remember these are started puppies who have been introduced to these training points. Every puppy learns at a different rate and will perform differently than the next. They will need continued training in their new home to establish these habits in your home and into adulthood.
