Policies & Expectations
Please read all Policies and Expectations carefully.
Students must enter through the NACC backstage door and follow signs to Volunteer Station. You will then be directed to your waiting area. Please find your group and do not leave children until the group volunteer is present.
Parents will not be permitted backstage. Volunteers will be the only ones with back stage access. Please ensure that your children have everything they need for the rehearsal/performance when you drop them off. Students will not be able to leave until the entire rehearsal/performance is finished.
It is expected that all students will arrive on time to all scheduled rehearsals and performances.
Senior students are expected to be at NACC 60 minutes prior to the start of the performances, and 30 minutes prior to the start of Dress Rehearsal (or the Friday show). Students may miss warm up if they are not present.
Junior students are expected to be at NACC 30 minutes prior to the start of the dress rehearsal or performance.
All students are expected to remain at NACC until the completion of the entire show (everyone participates in the finale).
All Senior performances will run approximately 2 hours, including Dress Rehearsal.
All Junior performances will run approximately 45 minutes, including Dress Rehearsal.
All students 10 years and under must be checked out by a parent or guardian who is authorized to pick up the student.
Every student MUST ALWAYS check out with the group volunteer before leaving. We end each show with a finale with all the students on stage and it does take a few minutes to get everyone back to their holding area. Please DO NOT take students from their groups unless you have checked with the group volunteer.
All students are expected to perform in all performances, as well as the Dress Rehearsal. Check your schedule for details.
Students are expected to arrive with their full costumes, including shoes and hairpieces. Please double check before you leave the house!
Your dancer should arrive to the theatre wearing their first costume.
All students should arrive with their hair and makeup already done (see detailed student info for exact requirements).
Your dancer may bring a small snack if you feel necessary, but please do not pack messy snacks. We are also asking that all snacks DO NOT CONTAIN PEANUTS. Please only send them with water, and no other liquids!
Students may bring a small activity, or book to keep them occupied while waiting, but please do not bring valuables to any of the performances or rehearsals. We highly discourage dancers from bringing cell phones to the performances.
All students are expected to be on their best behavior at all times. Regular studio rules and policies apply to the rehearsals/performances and if we have repeated problems, students will not be permitted to participate in the show.
ALL students are expected to remain in their holding area (even intermediate/advanced students). If your dancer has multiple or quick costume changes, they will be permitted to use one of the NACC dressing rooms.
No jewelry or nail polish is permitted. If they must keep earrings in, please cover them with a small Band-Aid.
