Our team is dedicated to creating a play space that nourishes students in many ways; that is fun, inspiring, and safe.

It's so much more than mud.  This is our home and 'backyard'.  It needs our care.
Principal Pepe-Phelps is our home grown principal and guides our effort from a place of possibility and education.
Oona Martin is a landscape architect passionate about creating playful experiences and thoughtful engineering solutions to the play yard.
Liane Erickson is a parent volunteer and naturopathic doctor dedicated to finding a WAY! by supporting the fundraiisng effort.
Stephanie Cloud is a landscape architect who brings clarity, simplicity, and years of playground design experience.

Leadership

The Winterberry Outdoor Site Committee is co-held by Principal Pepe-Phelps and parent volunteer Oona Martin.

When we returned to in-person learning in Spring 2021, the play yard committee was still reforming and focused on outdoor learning and eating environments on an ad-hoc basis.   The epic muddiness of 2021-2022 drew parent volunteers Liane Erickson and Stephanie Cloud to step up to round out the core team.

Current intermittent team members include parent volunteers Kelly DuFort (graphic support and story telling), Neal Stanbury (carpenter and wood chip team leader), Jeremiah Drage (geotechnical engineer), Patrick Cummins (construction project management) and Rachel Whitt (earthwork contractor).
