Question 1: Why do we, the Winterberry community, have to cover the cost of play yard upgrades?
Answer: As a charter school, Winterberry is responsible for all building and maintenance costs and this comes from our all-school budget. There has been no money set aside in the past for play yard upgrades. In addition to this, the combination of us being a school on private, leased land makes it harder to find grants that are applicable.
