Pratt Memorial Library Scholarship

The Friends of the Pratt Memorial Library are proud to be awarding a $1,000 scholarship this year to 1 outstanding graduating senior, technical school, or current college student working in Jasper County.  Please see scholarship requirements below.

How to apply: 

Please complete the application below  and submit your essay and required documents to be considered for the scholarship award. 

Essay guidelines: 

Please submit a 1-2 page (APA style; double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font) essay answering one of the following questions: 

   1. How is the library still important in the modern digital era?

   2. How has the library impacted out community? 

Please also upload: 

- Proof of acceptance to your university, college, or technical school.

Applications should be submitted by May 1, 2026 in order to be considered for scholarship award. The scholarship will be awarded at your school's end of the year awards ceremony or another appropriate occasion at the end of the school year.
