The Pratt Memorial Library is one of the oldest branches in the AHJ Regional Library system. Built in 1928, the building was formerly the Ridgeland Elementary School. Named in memory of Frederic R. Pratt, the building was donated to Jasper County by Mrs. Webel in memory of her late husband. Since then, the library has been a beacon in Ridgeland, Jasper County, and the surrounding communities. It is time for major renovations!
Time for a newer, modernized, and futuristic library that will serve the needs of the Ridgeland communities for years to come. The Jasper County Council has generously committed to funding the renovation of the building and the operation of a temporary library location during that renovation. However, private funding will be needed for furniture, technology and equipment upgrades, as well as updates to the grounds and outdoor spaces.
As you think about ways to give back to the community, please consider a gift to the Pratt Memorial Library to support the Renovation project. Supporting the Library gives you the opportunity to make a local and lasting impact on the Ridgeland community, and to make a statement about the importance of the library in your life and the lives of others. Not only is your gift 100% tax deductible, but we will make your contribution more visible by recognizing you or your organization as one of our fundraising partners.
